On "Hold" with Majors

At the end of the fiscal year many libraries have expended their budget or a temporary freeze has been put on any spending which necessitates the cancellation of any backorders.

For Majors Firm Orders: Any time a customer is ordering through Majors web site, they have the ability to leave the order on hold and continue building an order to release later. If the customer has backorders they do not want to ship in the interim, they should call their customer service representative at 800-633-1851 (option 2).

For Majors Approval Plans: Customers have the ability to place an approval shipment on hold by clicking on the "Hold Order" button on the Approval Summary Page. If the customer is unable to place the week on hold, or needs ongoing shipments placed on hold, they may contact Katherine Luc at kluc@majors.com. When they are ready to resume shipments, customers may ask that the weeks be released one at a time, a couple at a time or whatever is convenient. The customer also has the ability to work and release their on-hold approval shipments themselves at anytime during the week, including weekends. To release an order on hold, customers should go back to the Approval Summary Page and click the "Release Order" button.
