The 2008 edition of Doody's Core Titles (DCT) is available for purchase through Majors and as a subscriber you will have direct access DCT via Majors' web site!

Doody's Core Titles is a list of 2,139 core titles and represents the collective judgment of 90 healthcare experts and more than 100 health science librarians as to which titles represent essential knowledge. It is designed to serve as an aid to collection development in the areas of clinical medicine, basic science, nursing, allied health, and other associated health-related disciplines.

When you subscribe to DCT you will be able to see 404 titles marked as Essential Purchase Titles. These titles are defined as those titles recommended for purchase by a library with an annual book-buying budget of less than $7,500. Also marked are those titles which are new to DCT. All DCT titles are marked in the Majors Approval Plan as well.

The Basic edition costs $49.95 and offers full access to the DCT scores and essential purchase recommendations. The Premium edition costs $149.95 and offers the features of the Basic edition plus Doody's Book Reviews and Star Ratings for the DCT titles. Premium subscribers will soon be able to view the Reviews and Star Ratings for the DCT titles on Majors web site as well as on Doody's web site.
