eReference
As libraries recognize the flexibility and convenience of having reference material on-line instead of or in addition to print format, Baker & Taylor and YBP Library Services are utilizing our extensive network of publisher contacts to provide customers with eReference order consolidation. B&T and YBP can provide book series and Major Reference Works (MRWs) which collectively make up eReference. Advantages include reducing the number of print volumes to free up library shelf space for other uses and patrons are able to access the information at home at their convenience.

Among eReference publishers, B&T and YBP have an exclusive relationship with Gale for the supply of the highly respected Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) eBook collection as well as Gale's Digital Library and Literature Criticism Online ebooks. Gale eReference is available 24/7 with unlimited simultaneous access and usage for an individual eBook. Although print reference material at many libraries is not circulated or the library does not have a reliable method to measure usage, Gale can provide usage reports that allow libraries to measure the usage of eReference material. Attached is a list of the electronic GALE series presently in our database for your review.

YBP Library Services
YBP's continuations department provides regularly and irregularly published monographic series to libraries. We manage more than 48,000 active series titles. Among them are English-language numbered and unnumbered monographic series, sets-in-progress, and annuals. The database of series titles is available through GOBI®, our online database. YBP offers our standard vendor services, staying with our customers every step of the way to ensure that chosen titles are managed effectively on your behalf. YBP is prepared to work with libraries ready to add or switch formats for their continuation titles. When YBP learns about new online formats and bundled packages for book series and major reference works, we negotiate with the publisher to determine if these can be sold through YBP - just as we do for print. When we are bibliographically able to, we add the titles to GOBI. In all cases we also add these titles to our eReference website (http://www.ybp.com/ereference/) which lists the online version of reference works we can supply. YBP offers eContent direct from the publisher, in the form of databases, electronic major reference works (eMRWs), packages of monographic titles, and print + online bundles through our eReference pages.
